Interpod Usage Guidelines

Patient Benefits

Interpod design features, which are supported by independent research, allow for improved orthotic prescription, reducing the forces which can cause your painful symptoms while maintaining foot comfort in your preferred shoe style.

Wearing in Instructions

Follow your practitioners’ instructions. Begin by wearing your orthotics for one hour the first day. Increase by one hour each consecutive day. Ideally after 2 weeks your orthotics will have moulded to the shape of your feet, and you should be comfortably wearing them daily. Minor discomfort is common whilst adjusting to your orthotics. If the discomfort continues stop wearing your orthoses and consult your practitioner.  

How should my Interpod orthotics feel?

Initially, there may be a sensation of pressure under the arch and heel area. This should decrease as your foot becomes accustomed to the insole. Fitting Instructions Remove any existing inserts from your shoe. Place Interpod orthotics into the shoe ensuring that the back of the orthotic is pushed up against the rear of the shoe.

Caring Instructions

Do not leave your orthoses in the sun. Remove any gravel from your footwear. Clean your orthotics with a damp cloth & lukewarm soapy water only. Do not leave your orthoses where your pet can get them.

Replacement of Foot Orthotics

Depending on the frequency of use, Interpod Orthotics could last several months to several years (if only worn occasionally). Signs of wear are obvious and can include cracking, degeneration of the top cover, damage to the shell, bottoming out, and discolouration. To ensure performance, as a general rule of thumb, we would advise patients to replace their insoles at least every 12 months.
