Our range includes four colour-coded resistance levels, allowing clinicians to select the appropriate challenge and progressively increase resistance as patients develop strength and control.

Explore Our Hand Therapy Putty Range

  • Yellow – X Soft: Very light resistance for gentle hand movements and early strengthening exercises.
  • Red – Soft: Light resistance for developing grip, finger movement and coordination.
  • Green – Medium: Moderate resistance for progressive strengthening and improving hand function.
  • Blue – X Firm: Higher resistance for more challenging grip and hand strengthening exercises.

Each resistance level is available in a convenient 56g tub, with a three-pack therapy putty kit also available for progressive rehabilitation.

Why Do Physiotherapists Use Hand Therapy Putty?

Hand therapy putty is a practical rehabilitation tool because it can be squeezed, stretched, pinched, rolled and manipulated to exercise different muscles and movement patterns within the hands, fingers and forearms.

Physiotherapists use therapeutic putty to help patients improve grip strength, pinch strength, fine motor control, finger dexterity and hand coordination. It can form part of a tailored exercise programme following injury, surgery or periods of immobilisation, as well as supporting the management of reduced hand strength and mobility.

Unlike fixed-resistance exercise equipment, putty adapts to different movements, enabling clinicians to target specific functional activities and adjust the difficulty to suit individual abilities.

Suitable for Clinic and Home Rehabilitation

Compact, reusable and easy to transport, Physioworx hand therapy putty is ideal for supervised physiotherapy sessions and prescribed home exercise programmes. Its progressive resistance options make it a useful addition to rehabilitation plans focused on restoring hand strength, improving movement and supporting everyday activities such as gripping, holding and manipulating objects.
