High-Quality PUR Rigid Foams

In orthopaedics, ASTI-OP is synonymous with premium-grade PUR rigid foams. Developed by BEIL in Germany, ASTI-OP foams cater to a range of densities, from 100 to 700 kg/m³, providing versatile solutions for different applications. These foams are a staple in orthopaedic workshops, offering a proven track record, continuous development, and outstanding value.

ASTI-OP 700

With a density of 700 kg/m³ and an expansion factor of 1.6, this is the most robust and stable foam in the ASTI-OP range. It’s perfect for fabricating positive moulds and models that endure high mechanical stress, such as shoe and insole lasts, as well as tip reinforcements.

ASTI-OP 500

The preferred choice for orthopaedic shoe technology, ASTI-OP 500 has a density of 500 kg/m³ and an expansion factor of 2.2. Its durability and ease of nailing make it a popular option in PUR rigid foams, alongside ASTI-OP 700.

ASTI-OP 300

A lightweight option ideal for thermoforming models and crafting cosmetic covers for prostheses. With a density of approximately 300 kg/m³ and an expansion factor of 3.7, it offers both lightness and easy grindability.

ASTI-OP 200

Extremely lightweight, with a density of 200 kg/m³ and an expansion factor of around 5.5, ASTI-OP 200 is a suitable choice for less demanding applications where rigidity is still needed.

ASTI-OP 100

The lightest foam in the ASTI-OP range, featuring a density of 100 kg/m³ and an expansion factor of 11.7. Known for its excellent grindability, ASTI-OP 100 is ideal for applications requiring high flexibility, though it has limited mechanical strength.

ASTI-B Mixing Component

This component is utilised across all ASTI-OP formulations to ensure optimal results.
