Three Resistances for Progressive Hand Therapy

X Soft Yellow – 56g
Lowest resistance in the kit. Suitable where gentler resistance is required or as a starting point for progressive hand exercises.
Soft Red  – 56g
Provides increased resistance for continued hand, finger and grip exercises.
Firm Blue  – 56g
Highest resistance supplied in the kit, providing a more challenging level for progressive strengthening exercises.

Progress at your own pace: resistance should be selected according to individual ability and the exercise being performed. Where therapeutic putty forms part of rehabilitation following injury or surgery, follow the resistance and exercise programme recommended by your healthcare professional.

How It Works

Therapeutic putty creates resistance as it is squeezed, stretched, pinched, rolled or manipulated. Working against this resistance engages muscles involved in hand, finger, wrist and forearm movement.

The three-resistance kit allows exercises to be adapted as strength develops. Begin with an appropriate resistance and progress to a firmer putty when exercises can be completed comfortably and with good control.

The putty can be shaped in numerous ways, allowing different movements to target grip, pinch strength, individual finger movements, dexterity and coordination.

Ideal For

Hand therapy and rehabilitation

  • Progressive hand strengthening exercises
  • Finger strengthening exercises
  • Grip and pinch exercises
  • Hand coordination and dexterity exercises
  • Appropriately prescribed rehabilitation programmes

Everyday hand exercise

  • Maintaining hand movement and dexterity
  • Developing grip strength
  • Fine motor exercises
  • Finger isolation exercises
  • Home or clinic-based exercise

One Kit – Multiple Exercise Options

The mouldable nature of therapeutic putty allows a wide variety of hand exercises to be performed using a single product.

The putty can be squeezed, pinched, stretched, rolled, twisted and pulled, enabling exercises to focus on different movements and muscle groups within the hand and forearm.

Having three resistance levels in one kit also makes it easier to adapt the difficulty of exercises over time without needing to purchase a different product at each stage.
