High Resistance for More Challenging Hand Exercises
X Firm Blue provides a high level of resistance within the Physioworx therapeutic putty range. It is intended for exercises where greater resistance is appropriate for the user's current hand strength and exercise programme.
For progressive rehabilitation, users would normally begin with a resistance suitable for their current ability and move to greater resistance as strength and control develop.
Important: the firmest resistance is not automatically the most appropriate resistance. Where putty is being used following injury, surgery or immobilisation, resistance should be selected according to advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
How It Works
Therapeutic putty creates resistance as it is squeezed, stretched, pinched, rolled or otherwise manipulated. Working against this resistance engages the muscles involved in hand, finger, wrist and forearm movement.
The flexible putty can be formed into different shapes so that exercises can target different movements, including whole-hand gripping, finger and thumb pinching, individual finger movement and controlled hand manipulation.
The X Firm resistance provides a more challenging exercise level where increased resistance is appropriate.
