The sleeve fits around the forefoot and positions a soft silicone gel cushion directly over the bunion prominence.

When worn inside suitable footwear, the gel provides a protective interface between the bunion and the shoe, helping cushion localised pressure and reduce repeated rubbing during walking and standing.

The flexible textile construction helps keep the gel pad positioned over the required area while maintaining a low-profile fit.

Bunions can become uncomfortable when the prominent joint repeatedly contacts the side of footwear. The Podotech Bunion Care Gel Sleeve provides a soft cushioning layer over this area to help reduce direct rubbing and pressure.

For best comfort, footwear should provide sufficient width and toe-box space so that the sleeve does not create additional compression around the forefoot.

The sleeve is designed for cushioning and protection. It does not straighten the big toe or change the underlying position of the joint.

1. Ensure the skin is clean and dry before application.
2. Slide the sleeve gently over the forefoot and big toe area.
3. Position the silicone gel cushion directly over the bunion prominence.
4. Smooth the sleeve so that the fabric and gel pad lie flat without folding or bunching.
5. Put on socks and footwear as normal.
6. Ensure the footwear has sufficient toe-box space and does not become excessively tight.
7. Remove the sleeve if pain, numbness, irritation or increased pressure occurs.

The sleeve should fit comfortably around the forefoot without feeling tight or restrictive. The gel pad should remain positioned over the bunion without folding or creating additional pressure.

If numbness, throbbing, excessive tightness or increased discomfort develops, remove the sleeve and reassess the fit.

1. Remove the sleeve before washing.
2. Hand wash gently using mild soap and water.
3. Rinse thoroughly to remove soap residue.
4. Allow to air dry completely before reuse.
5. Do not wear until fully dry.
6. Inspect regularly for deterioration, tearing or damage and replace when necessary.
