Our range of prosthetic lamination materials is designed to provide orthotists and prosthetists with high-performance solutions tailored for durable, custom-made prosthetic devices. These materials are specifically selected for their resilience, lightweight properties, and compatibility with various fabrication techniques, ensuring an optimal balance of comfort, strength, and adaptability for the end user.
Each product in our prosthetic lamination range is carefully selected for its ability to deliver strong, adaptable, and user-friendly results. They work effectively with reinforcements like carbon fibre, Kevlar, and fibreglass, enabling professionals to create prosthetics that are as lightweight as they are resilient. This adaptability makes them suitable for both lower- and upper-limb prosthetics, offering the right blend of strength and comfort for daily wear.
By providing a selection of acrylic, epoxy, and polyester resins, our range caters to varied clinical needs, fabrication preferences, and budget considerations, ensuring that every user receives a prosthetic device optimised for durability, comfort, and personal fit.
Laminating Resin 80:20: This resin is the “classic” choice for laminating applications. It offers a balanced blend of viscosity and strength, making it suitable for a wide range of purposes. Its thermoformable nature means that it can be reheated and adjusted after curing, allowing for flexibility in customisation.
Carbon Resin: Specially formulated for use with carbon fabrics, this thinner resin is ideal for high-strength casting. It creates casting parts that are durable and primarily composed of carbon fibres. It is known for its strong adhesion to carbon materials, making it particularly suitable for high-quality, durable casting requirements.
Plastic Acrylic Resin: This is a flexible acrylic laminating resin used to create adaptable parts. It can be mixed with any other acrylic resin, allowing for customisation to achieve the desired flexibility. This resin is ideal for applications that require a softer finish or greater adaptability.
All our acrylic resins can be hardened by adding 1-3% hardening powder (referred to as Powder 50). This ensures that the resin sets quickly and maintains its strength and shape over time. This flexibility in the hardening ratio allows users to adjust the curing process based on specific project needs.
