Foot creams are often chosen when skin becomes dry, rough, thickened or uncomfortable through daily walking, standing, sport, footwear pressure or seasonal changes.
Our foot cream category brings together podiatry-led moisturising and treatment-focused foot creams designed to support smoother skin, better hydration and more comfortable feet.
Foot creams are topical products designed to hydrate, soften and protect the skin of the feet. They are commonly used on heels, soles and other pressure areas where the skin may become dry, thickened or uncomfortable.
Some are everyday moisturisers, while others are more targeted and may include ingredients such as urea to help draw in moisture and support softening of hard skin.
Within the Algeos range, you will find options suitable for routine home care as well as post-treatment maintenance following podiatry visits.
| Foot concern | How a foot cream may help | Useful route |
|---|---|---|
| Dry, rough skin | Supports hydration and helps improve skin feel with regular use. | Callusan EXTRA or Dermatonics Dry Skin Balm |
| Cracked heels | Richer balms can help soften thick, dry heel skin and support a more comfortable surface. | Dermatonics Once Heel Balm |
| Calluses and hard skin | Higher-urea or callus-focused creams may support gradual softening of thicker skin. | Dermatonics Callus Removing Balm or Callusan FORTE |
| Sweaty or damp feet | Lighter mousse formulas can fit daily routines where a fast-absorbing finish is preferred. | Callusan FRESH |
| Fungus-prone skin | Some foot creams are chosen to support skin comfort while fitting into a wider foot hygiene routine. | SUDA CARE Foot Cream Foam |
| Diabetes-related skin care | Hydration matters, but product choice should sit alongside daily checking and clinician advice. | Dermatonics Dry Skin Cream Balm |
Is the priority dryness, cracking, callus reduction, sweating or support for fungus-prone skin? Being clear on the main issue narrows the range quickly.
Balms suit more intensive care. Mousses and lighter creams can be easier for daily use, especially before socks or footwear.
For rough or thickened skin, shoppers often look for higher-urea options. For everyday comfort, a lighter moisturising formula may be enough.
Some concerns need more than moisturising alone. You may also need protective gels, offloading insoles or condition-specific products.
Most foot creams work best when used consistently. If skin becomes sore, broken, infected or does not improve, seek podiatry advice.
If you have diabetes, neuropathy or poor circulation, avoid self-managing broken skin and use clinician-led guidance where needed.

The most suitable option depends on whether the issue is general dryness, cracked heels or thicker callused skin. Richer creams and balms are often chosen for very dry feet, while mousse formulas can work well for daily hydration when a lighter finish is preferred.
Urea is commonly used in foot creams for dry, rough and thickened skin because it helps attract moisture and supports softening over time. Higher-urea formulas are often considered when hard skin or callus build-up is part of the problem.
Many people use foot cream once daily, usually after washing and drying the feet well. If the skin is especially dry, twice-daily use may be helpful for a period, provided the product directions allow it.
Yes, regular use of a suitable heel balm or rich moisturising cream may help soften dry heel skin and support improved comfort. If cracks are deep, sore or bleeding, seek professional advice rather than relying on home care alone.
Hydration is important, but people with diabetes should be more cautious with broken skin, reduced sensation or circulation concerns. Use products intended for foot care and follow clinician advice where there is any skin breakdown or uncertainty.
A moisturising cream can support dry skin, but it is not the same as a dedicated antifungal treatment. If you suspect athlete’s foot or a fungal nail problem, use the correct condition-specific route and keep the feet clean and dry.

Our feet work super hard every day, supporting our weight and absorbing the impact of walking, running and standing. Yet they are often the most neglected part of our skincare and health routines.
