Important Fitting Information
The Safe Cerv should be fitted and adjusted by a suitably qualified healthcare professional. The headpiece and vertical slat can be remoulded by a healthcare professional to help achieve the best fit.
The patient should feel a gentle stretch but should not experience discomfort. Skin should be checked each time the orthosis is removed. If redness or skin changes do not resolve within 3–5 minutes, discontinue use and seek clinical advice.
Initial wear time should begin at around 30 minutes, followed by a skin check. Wearing time may then be gradually increased as advised by the clinician, up to a maximum of 6 hours at a time.
