B.C. Leathers have specialised in the U.K. in leathers for the orthopaedic, saddlery and shoe manufacturing industries. They also sell specialised tools for the leather industry and have been successful in winning tenders in the Middle East and other export markets for prosthetic items.

B.C. Leathers was founded 10 years ago by Brian Cordery who had previously been Managing Director of William Pangbourne Ltd who had an enviable reputation for leathers established over many years.

Alan Sheridan says:
"Brian has decided to retire from active business life. He has built a successful business in the last 10 years and I was delighted when he approached me as this gives Algeos the opportunity to take-over the distributorship of many quality leathers.

Leather is an area which has traditionally been seen as coming from the Northampton shoe area but the contacts that the take-over gives us are second to none. Our position has really been strengthened in our ambition of being a true "one stop shop " for our medical manufacturing buyers.
I am also excited about the boost our growing export activities will be given.

Brian will continue to make his expertise available to us for a period of time and this will be important in ensuring a smooth transfer of business."
