Algeos have also been officially recognised as valuable investors in the community, as an inaugural winner of the South Liverpool Business Awards 2004.

The company have been presented with the award for the most original impact on the business scene, for businesses with up to 50 employees. The Judges selected Algeos as most worthy of the award after being impressed with the company's success in gaining national stature as a source of expertise in the Podiatry and Chiropody Industry.

The company were also applauded for their significant efforts within the local community. This specifically related to the company's support for the Liverpool Compact Scheme involving beneficial work experience for school children aged 14-15. Algeos were also recognised for their efforts in welcoming people with learning difficulties in to the company on a weekly basis.

The company also employs a graphics design student in their Marketing Department as part of the 'Business Bridge' Scheme provided by Liverpool John Moores University.
