Investors In People

Algeos is proud to announce that we have been awarded the prestigious Investors in People award. IIP is a national award, which sets a level of good practice for training and development of staff to achieve the goals of the organisation.

Achieving the standard was a major aim of the company's operations director George Jones who was delighted with the company's achievement. "Having achieved the ISO 9001: 2000 accreditation in 2001, this represented a testimony to the quality of the products and service of the company. However, the Investors in People standard is the only quality standard that focuses on people.

It is particularly pleasing to know that management and staff alike have contributed to the development of a company culture worthy of the Investors in People standard".

Algeos managing director Alan Sheridan said: "Without good staff we cannot deliver the quality of service of the highest possible quality that our customers expect from us. It is so different from the time when I started in business in 1962.

Progressive organisations now appreciate that staff members are a vital asset and the benefits of high morale and low staff turnover are obvious to all. We will be using Investor in People to continuously improve the ways in which we support and develop our staff".

To get the award, an independent assessor tested the company against a nationally recognised standard.
