Leading medical products distribution company Algeos has signed the biggest ever commercial sponsorship deal with the College of Podiatry Annual Conference.

Algeos has agreed to be the Principal Sponsor for the Conference for the next three years.

The global company, with its head office in Liverpool, will launch its Aspirational Podiatry campaign at the conference in Harrogate, which takes place on November 19-21.

The campaign, which features the strapline “Aspire to be the Best”, aims to show podiatrists how they can get the most from their working life whether they are in private or NHS practice.

Algeos branding will be visible across the Conference venue in Harrogate and the company will be holding a number of events including a keynote motivational talk on Friday 20 by Jo Fairley, one of the founders of the global chocolate brand Green & Black’s.

Hugh Sheridan, CEO of ALG, which includes Algeos, said: “We are delighted to be the Principal Sponsor for the next three years for the College of Podiatry Annual Conference.

“As a company, we are committed not only to providing podiatrists with the best possible products but also to playing a key role in their ongoing education and development.

“We are also committed to helping those in private practice or considering a move into private practice to build and run a successful and profitable business, while enjoying a great work-life balance.

“Our Aspirational Podiatry campaign, which we are launching at COP, is all about helping podiatrists aspire to be the best they can.”

Adam Thomas, Director of Marketing for The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists, said: “The College of Podiatry is delighted to welcome Algeos as Principal Sponsor for the College of Podiatry Annual Conference for the next three years.

“The College of Podiatry Conference is the largest podiatry conference in Europe with over 1,300 delegates attending so it is testament to the high status of the conference that Algeos has chosen to work with the College.

“Algeos has been a long-time supporter of the College and Podiatry in general and the support it is providing is significant in ensuring the conference continues to be the pinnacle of clinical and business training for HCPC-registered podiatrists in the UK and podiatrists worldwide.”

Exceed magazine, which is published by ALG, will be Media Partner for the conference reporting from the event and providing pre and post event coverage in the magazine and via its website – www.exceed-magazine.com. The quarterly magazine, launched earlier this year, aims to foster a multi-disciplinary approach by covering the issues affecting the worlds of podiatry, physiotherapy and orthotics and prosthetics.
