Global medical products distributor Algeos has launched a range of innovative products at the College of Podiatry Annual Conference that will transform the way podiatrists work.

Algeos has signed an exclusive distribution partnership with German healthcare manufacturer RUCK to roll out its products in the UK.

Among the products unveiled at CoP were the revolutionary RUCK MOBILSYSTEM, the PODOLOG Stella 2 podiatry chair, the PODOLOG Nova 3 podiatry drill and a range of practice furniture and lamps.

It is the first time RUCK’s products have been made available to UK podiatrists and form an important part of Algeos’s Aspirational Podiatry campaign, which also launched at CoP.

Rorie Townsend, Algeos’s Podiatry Category Manager, said: “RUCK products set the standard for the podiatry profession.

“Their products are not only innovative but also harness the very best in German design and quality.

“Every aspect of the podiatrist’s working day and the patient’s experience has been considered in the creation of these industry-leading products.

“If you aspire to run the best possible practice, you need to know about RUCK products – and how they can transform the way you work and your patients’ experience.”

Simeon Ruck, Managing Director of RUCK, said: “We are excited to be making our products available to the UK podiatry profession for the first time through our relationship with Algeos.

“Our team was delighted to demonstrate the thinking behind the product range on the Algeos stand at CoP.”

RUCK believes its innovative mobile system will reinvent mobile footcare, making it more personal and organising it intelligently.

The RUCK MOBILSYSTEM consists of three bags for different purposes – technical equipment, working equipment and supplies. This ensures that the weight is better distributed.

The PODOLOG Stella 2 podiatry chair is ergonomic and user friendly, while the BIOSWING operator chair promises to look after the podiatrist’s spine while they are working in practice.

CoP also saw a range of podiatry drills being launched consisting of the PODOLOG Nova 3 – described as the “lightweight workhorse” being both lighter than other industry products and quieter due to additional noise optimisation. There are also entry-level drills available – PODOLOG Eco and PODOLOG One.

The products being showcased by Algeos included the RUCK cabinet range and cabinet and clinic lamps.

Rorie added: “CoP saw Algeos launch its Aspirational Podiatry campaign and the launch of the RUCK product range is an important part of this initiative.”

The campaign aims to give podiatrists in the UK access the very best products, services and world-class education and development to help them to:

  • Aspire to be the best
  • Achieve a great work/life balance
  • Advance your businesS
