From mid-July to mid-September, there is likely to be disruption to our deliveries to ORN (Olympic Route Network) areas due to the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. We hope the information given below will help you to understand whether and how your business may be affected, but as always, please don’t hesitate to call us if you have any questions.

What is the Olympic Route Network (ORN)?

It’s a 109 mile network of roads that are designed to connect key Olympic venues, to ensure that athletes and officials get to Games events on time. In most instances, the ORN will remain open to general traffic, but certain restrictions will be in place, such as changes to traffic signals, restricted turns into side roads and suspension of certain parking bays. There will also be dedicated Games Lanes, which will not be open to general traffic.

How might I be affected during the Olympics?

Many areas will suffer from delivery delays at varying times. In certain postcode areas we cannot guarantee a next day delivery on goods but, our couriers are doing their best to delivery within 48 hours. See table below for effected postcodes:

How can I minimise the disruption to my deliveries?

We recommend that you check the Postcode Lookup Matrix and if your business is located in an affected area, then consider the following:

  • Can you plan ahead and order all essential supplies outside the times where deliveries to your area may be delayed?
  • Can you specify an alternative delivery address outside the Olympic congestion zone during the period of disruption?

Remember that we are always available to assist you with any questions you may have and to discuss your options.
