
COVID-19 Customer Update
Update: 11th November 2020
As we once again find ourselves entering a national lockdown, I wanted to reassure you that as an essential service we will remain fully open and here to support you and your patients. We all agree that our NHS heroes continue to do an incredible job at this very difficult time.
However, we are also very proud of all our customers who continue to inspire us with their dedication and resilience.Â
We have worked hard to ensure that it has been ‘business as normal’ as much as possible throughout the last 7 months. The investment and changes we have made during this period enable us to continue operating as we enter this new Lockdown.Â
Our Customer Service, Technical and Sales teams continue to be available to support your clinics and businesses during this time. We are running virtual account meetings, product demonstration, and training so please get in touch and stay tuned in to our Social Media pages.
Since March, we’ve worked hard to ensure our place of work is safe for both our colleagues and limited visitors. I am pleased to say when the Health and Safety Executive visited our offices this week to review our COVID-19 precautions, we passed with flying colours.
In order to achieve such a safe environment, we have had to make changes to our operations such as the introduction of new working practices including new shift patterns and implementation of new processes which enable us to adhere to social distancing. This has meant that there have been some slight delays in orders being delivered, I would like to apologise to our customers and thank you for your patience and understanding as we all get used to the new ‘normal’.
We look ahead to the next few months with positivity with new products solutions being launched from our trusted brands such as EMS, Interpod, Darco, Voxelcare and a new Pressure Plate technology.
In the longer term, we are busy working on ways to improve your customer experience which will include a new interactive website, catalogue, after sales technical support and education programmes.

Team Algeos
We hope you are all well during these challenging times. We just wanted to provide a Company Update to our customers.
We now have 80% of our Operations team working back in the business. We are looking to bring the remaining team members back into the business over the next month, whilst working in a Covid-19 secure workplace. We are currently running a longer lead time than normal on orders but are looking to reduce this over the next month and operate on our standard dates as soon as possible. We apologise for any delays on orders recently.

Whilst the Customer Service teams are working from home for the time being, we have invested in a new phone system to allow virtual call centre environment. We have also upgraded our server infrastructure to increase the speed and access to our back-office systems, ensuring we can maintain our high level of customer service.
Following our Risk Assessments and Visitor guidelines, we have been holding customer training sessions digitally and have ensured our Showroom is safe for customer visits using the SterilAir Pro air sterilisation system. This has allowed us to showcase our medical technology and clinical equipment to customers in person. Please get in touch with one of the team if you would like to arrange a demonstration of any of our products. Our Sales teams have been holding virtual appointments and team meetings over the past months and can also travel to your site, if preferred.
As we cannot meet any of you at trade shows and exhibitions this year, we are planning to run digital training sessions on key product ranges across November & December. These sessions are currently being planned so we will provide an update on the sessions as soon as we can.
Finally, over the past 6 months we have been developing our new website which will be launched in early 2021. This will provide enhanced features such as real time stock, account management options and a more up to date user experience. Please see our social media pages over the coming months for more information.

Update: 8th July 2020
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our loyal customers who have supported us with their continued custom and our fantastic team who have worked so hard to keep Algeos open throughout this period.
The last few months have been challenging for us all professionally and personally. We could not have continued without the amazing show of teamwork and loyalty from customers and colleagues. I am proud of how Team Algeos have come together and learnt new skills in order to ensure we continue to supply our customers to the best of our ability.
Everybody has adapted so quickly and effectively to the changes, wearing many different hats to support our customers through these difficult times. I have personally been helping in the warehouse and taking customer calls. The highlight has been speaking to customers personally and hearing how they are overcoming their challenges and the positive feedback and comments on my team and how they have responded to the difficult situation.
Hopefully, the situation will improve as lockdown eases and we move towards some form of normality. In the meantime, I hope you, your family, and your colleagues remain safe and well.

- Team Algeos are following guidance best practices like frequent hand washing, social distancing and staying home if feeling unwell.
- We have restricted all travel outside of the UK and are monitoring external visitors allowed on site.
- We are arranging virtual meetings and conference calls instead of in person.
- Preparing teams to enable home working where possible and actioning our plans for teams on-site which includes shift patterns in operations to minimise the risk to our supply chain.
- Have anticipated stock requirements and are doing our utmost to ensure supply to our customers.
- The business continues to operate our usual hours for customer service and despatch. This will be reviewed on a daily basis.
