Why Pressure do Ulcers form?

Pressure ulcers are areas of the skin where the skin or underlying tissue is damaged. In the case of immobility and weak patina, pressure ulcers can occur within 10 - 15 minutes, which is why a quick and preventative effort is important. Most pressure ulcers can be prevented!

Pressure ulcers can occur anywhere on the body, but particularly vulnerable are those places on the body where bone protrusions increase pressure against the substrate. It is therefore important to focus on relieving these vulnerable areas in the prevention of pressure ulcers.
