XT is a range of patterned blanks used for moulded 'functional foot orthotics' when full control is required. This rigid material is manufactured from carbon fibre and polypropylene which helps provide you with a strong, lightweight and rigid orthotic.

A superior alternative to the heavy steel sole plates traditionally used in surgical shoe manufacture.

XT Orthotics Fabrication

Equipment needed:
Oven, Vacuum Former, Mold Cast, Release Liner (Teflon) and Gloves

1. Set the panel on release liner and place in oven at 200oC (400°F) for 3-5 minutes.

2. Place the softened panel on mold

3. Promptly apply vacuum and close the rubber membrane

4. For deep arches, massage out any wrinkles by hand

5. After about 1 minute, remove molded insert and trim

Notes:
If wrinkles persist. place PPT or Poron sheet between panel and mold. XT panels can be reheated and molded up to three times
