Grey (in the UK) PORON 4000 Performance material is used in a wide variety of products. Its firmness offers high-energy return and excellent impact absorption for demanding work/outdoor, athletic and casual applications.

Footwear applications include footbeds, insoles, and sockliners.

This microporous polyurethane is known worldwide as a durable high performance underfoot cushion with excellent shock absorption properties. With its unique cell structure PORON 4000® pumps air and moisture vapour around the inside of the shoe while ensuring superb protection against the "step shocks" of walking and running.

In orthotics, biomechanics and orthopaedics PORON 4000 is widely used for effective cushioning and tissue replacement. It is easily handled, cut and fixed, and can be kept indefinitely. It is extensively used in orthopaedic footwear, especially for Diabetics.

PORON 4000 is offered in sheets, rolls, or as cut components.
