Algeos import both Natural and Composition Cork for use the footwear and orthopeadic manufacturing sector. Both can be ground easily and take any type of adhesive. The natural cork is lightweight and keeps its shape even with a heavy weight. These two Corks are not thermomouldable but are quickly adhered to EVA which has been shaped.

Algecork is an EVA that contains granulated cork and is one of the more traditional materials for producing foot orthoses. The addition of cork pieces to EVA means it moulds easily and can be used for making deep heel cups.

Bircocork is another cork based product we supply. It is a mixture of cork and special resins and can be moulded by applying heat. It can be used in a similar way to EVA to produce shells for orthoses or as a reinforcing for more flexible plastics.

Another resilient cork material is Rubberised Cork sheeting, with or without a cotton/lint backing. This makes a strong base for a simple insole.
