Mould-Cast is an innovative thermoplastic counter and puff material produced by co-extruding exceptional copolymers. It is an ideal solution for shoes requiring high resiliency and long-lasting shape retention.

Mould-Cast can also be used as a stiffening material foot orthotics and orthopaedic appliances.


Application:

Mould-Cast is heated at 70-80ºC using a heating plate, preferably Teflon coated. Other heat sources can also be used, such as ovens, lamps, hot steam, water etc. Mould-Cast can also be moulded using a mechanical last press.

Mould-Cast softens very quickly and be used almost instantly. Mould-Cast will not stick to the fingers, so the technician/shoe maker can easily insert the counter between upper and lining manually.


Working Conditions:

Temperature of the last: 100-130 ºC according to the type of lining and the upper used.

Contact time: 10-15 seconds (higher temperatures allow shorter contact times)

Sheet Size: 1m x 1.45m.
